Whether you come to me as an individual, team, or whole organisation, I will provide a safe space for dialogue based on deep questioning and listening and offer a robust understanding of where business, leadership and behavioural frameworks can provide valuable insight. TeachFirst

Involved with TeachFirst over the last decade, first as a coach and, in recent years, as a coaching observer. TeachFirst coaching involves working with teachers in their 2nd year of teaching to help them develop their leadership capability in the school environment. Over four years this involved visiting the teacher’s schools to understand the school culture and environment and coaching teachers in dealing with the challenges that presented. As a coaching observer, I support TeachFirst in training volunteer coaches from a range of business backgrounds, offering observation of coaching practice and feedback to volunteer coaches on their coaching skills.

 

Out Of The Dark

Supported the family run social enterprise to develop a business culture that is inclusive and easier to manage; this was achieved through coaching the husband & wife founders of the enterprise over a period of a year, helping them transition into a new style of management.

 
 

Lizzie Brazier

I have been working in the world of people and organisation development for over 30 years and love the energy, creativity and insights that emerge when people come together and really talk.

My career has given me the opportunity to work within various national and business cultures and has allowed me to develop skills in empathy, communication and cross cultural awareness, along with an understanding of leadership and behavioural theories that illuminate how and why people act.

Together, these help me fulfil my purpose - to create awareness of the choices we have about how we act, the impact this has on others and how we all have the power to adjust structures and practices so that people are able to work together more harmoniously towards a common vision.

In the corporate world, both as an employee and running my own learning and development business, this was fulfilled through culture and leadership projects with large companies such as American Express, British Airways, Transport for London, Sainsbury’s and John Lewis, BAE Systems, Channel 4 and Disney. Success in these environments involves quickly tuning in to an existing culture, identifying themes, patterns and ways of thinking and behaving that are holding people back before creating learning solutions that support change and growth.

But I got to the point where I felt that what I can achieve in a corporate is just a drop in the ocean compared with what is needed, so I now bring a combination of these skills and learning to my work with SMEs, charities and social enterprises, which have included schools, an NHS Trust and the International Multi-sport Events world. I am really inspired by how the passion, dynamism and raw ambition found in these entities become solid springboards for developing a healthy business culture and believe the change I can help facilitate in these organisations can be truly sustainable and impactful. I now focus my  time on people and projects that have entrepreneurialism and intrapreneurialism at their core, with leaders who want to drive people-centred, ethical and regenerative growth.

To support me in my work, I have  a Masters Degree in Training, am a MasterMind Executive Coach, an NLP Practitioner and Axiometrics Analyst and I hold a Certificate in Leadership and Facilitation: Co-creating the Emerging Future from Schumacher College.
